“Best football ground I’ve been to” – England legend raves about Spurs’ new stadium
Tottenham beat Manchester City 1-0 in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals last night at the new stadium.
The game was the first ever European tie held at the 62,062 capacity stadium and the second ever competitive game held at the venue after Crystal Palace became the first visitors to the ground last Wednesday.
While Spurs fans have had to wait patiently for the stadium to open, there is no doubt that the wait has been worth it as the stadium is absolutely state of the art.
It consists of several unique features including an innumerable number of food and drink outlets, a single tier stand with a capacity of 17,500, and a retractable pitch to host NFL games.
