Former Liverpool & Chelsea boss DESPERATE to HARM Man United transfer plans
Manchester United are still in the hunt for Real Madrid star defender Sergio Ramos, and they are expected to make a £42m offer.
Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez, who formerly managed Liverpool and Chelsea, is hoping to see the defender stay in Bernabeu though, according to The Metro.
“I think the president (Florentino Perez) has already said that he’ll stay here. If so, I’ll be the happiest man in the world because he’s a great professional and player,” Benitez said.
Real have already extended a symbol of loyalty to Ramos by giving him the captaincy, which will make it more difficult for him to leave.
The defender has spent the last 10 seasons of his career in Bernabeu, which may also work against Man United.
