Former Spurs player signs for another English club four years after leaving North London
Tottenham Hotspur fans may now be hoping to draw Blackburn in one of the domestic cups this season, but why?
Lewis Holtby has now signed for the Championship club on a two-year contract after his deal with Hamburg ran out (BBC).
Blackburn signed the 29-year-old on a free four years after he left Tottenham for Germany, his home and native land.
Holtby played 42 games for the Lilywhites, scoring three goals in that time. However, across three seasons at Spurs, he was only given 25 games in the Premier League (Wikipedia).
He was also loaned out to both Fulham and Hamburg, before making a permanent move to the latter back in 2015. In his time at Hamburg, Holtby managed 137 appearances and 15 goals. He has also played three times for the senior ...
