How the new UEFA rankings could give Spurs a boost in the Champions League
Tottenham Hotspur may be set for a Champions League boost next season as the new UEFA club coefficients were released today.
The changes to the list saw Spurs jump all the way from 17th to 12th after their impressive run to the final last season.
Tottenham have also now had four years of Champions League football in a row, which has done their ranking no harm at all.
Football London now claim that the rank of 12th should guarantee at least a spot in pot 2 for the draw next year, as long as the Lilywhites qualify.
Tottenham were in pot 2 this season, but they had to rely on other clubs not qualifying for the competition to achieve that spot.
