Jose Mourinho reveals what he thinks Foyth could and could not do at right-back
Jose Mourinho has changed the role of the full-back at Tottenham Hotspur since taking over as head coach last month.
While Spurs were once famed for the two flying wing-backs in the forms of Kyle Walker and Danny Rose, they now operate only one attacking full-back on the right side.
Serge Aurier often acts as a winger while Spurs are in possession of the ball, but, so as not to be caught out on the break, the left-back then tucks in as an extra centre-back and the two holding mids cover the flanks.
So far, it has usually been Aurier as the wing-back and the left-sided full-back as the more defensive of the duo, but perhaps Juan Foyth could be an option if that role was reversed.
