Les Ferdinand: Tottenham shouldn’t worry about lack of transfers, but Newcastle should

The former centre forward is a legend at both clubs, who meet tomorrow at St James’ Park, and wants to see the pair of them do well this season.
But the man affectionately known as ‘Sir Les’ has contrasting views on their respective prospects.
Spurs full-back Danny Rose said last week that his club needs to splash the cash and sign two or three top players.
That outburst earned him a fine of £130,000 as chairman Daniel Levy moved to clamp downon potential unrest.
And Ferdinand (right) said: “Everyone is going on about the fact Spurs have not signed anyone but Daniel Levy is known for doing his business in the last week of the window.
