McCarthy suggests Parrott must play for the Spurs first-team before senior Ireland call-up
Tottenham Hotspur certainly look as if they have a talent on their hands when it comes to young Troy Parrott in the academy.
The Irishman impressed during the pre-season tour of Asia this year when Pochettino gave him a chance in the first team.
Despite facing quality opposition like Juventus and playing alongside the likes of Harry Kane and Heung Min Son, Parrott looked comfortable and at home.
In fact, he was one of the best performers across the pre-season tour for Spurs, which has since earned him a call-up to the Republic of Ireland U21 team for the first time.
Parrott managed to score on his debut against Armenia before coming off the bench and bagging two against Sweden on Tuesday.
