Oliver Skipp: Bright future for academy star
A feature by The Guardian during the beginning of each season is to pick the best prospect from each Premier League club born between the 1st September 2000 and 31st of August 2001, an age band known as ‘first-year scholars’.
17 year-old Oliver Skipp has been selected as the next best thing that will emerge from Spurs’ own first-year scholars and is being tipped for a bright future.
Defensive midfielder Skipp played 18 games for Tottenham’s under-18s last season,even making a substitute appearance for the under-23s in February,all this while he was still a schoolboy. He has also been capped at U17 level for England.
