Peter Crouch chooses his all-time teammate XI – includes three ex-Tottenham stars
Tottenham Hotspur legend, Peter Crouch, announced his retirement from football yesterday, but he leaves behind some fond memories for the Spurs faithful.
While Tottenham reached their first-ever Champions League final last season, before that, Crouch was part of the most successful Spurs European squad.
Back in 2011, under Harry Redknapp, Crouch and his teammates reached the quarter-finals of the tournament, before being knocked out by Real Madrid.
Crouch scored the iconic header against Man City that saw Spurs qualify in the Premier League top four and seal a Champions League spot that season.
He also scored crucial goals against the likes of Inter Milan and AC Milan in the Champions League for Spurs, before seeing red against Madrid.
