Report: Spurs star set for La Liga return in the summer
Tottenham Hotspur have been without Harry Kane on two separate occasions this season, as the star striker has succumbed to ankle ligament injuries.
Heung Min Son has also spent two stints away from the club on international duty with South Korea.
As a result, it has undoubtedly been Fernando Llorente’s most successful season at Tottenham in terms of both contribution and minutes on the pitch.
The Spanish centre forward has often filled in for Kane in his times of injury, as he did last night in the Champions League semi-final against Ajax.
In fact, Llorente was the man who actually booked Tottenham a place in the semis to start with, as he deflected the ball goal-bound via his hip late on against Manchester City in the round prior.
