Tottenham can tie up £27.3 million deal in January
Real Betis chief executive José Miguel Lopez Catalan has explained the clauses in Giovani Lo Celso’s contract to Spanish news outlet ABC Sevilla.
Tottenham Hotspur signed Lo Celso for an initial loan fee of £13.7million in the summer (according to Estadio Deportivo) with an option to make the deal permanent.
The Betis CEO has now revealed that Tottenham could make the deal for the midfielder permanent by paying an additional £27.3million (Football.London) in the January transfer window.
He also divulged there is a mandatory clause in the deal which means Spurs have to pay an additional £35.3million to sign the Argentine permanently at the end of the season if they do manage to finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions ...
