Tottenham plan to keep spending as they line up an £8m bid for the ‘Spanish Ronaldo’
The young Real Betis winger is hot property, with the biggest clubs around Europe all eyeing him as Spurs plan to match his £8m release fee.
Eric Lamela, Nacer Chadli and Andros Townsend have all joined the Spurs squad this summer, but Tottenham Hotspur plan to sign yet another winger before the window shuts on Monday.
The Daily Mail claim that Andre Villas-Boas is looking at ‘the next Cristiano Ronaldo’ – Alvaro Vadillo of Real Betis.
As mandated by La Liga, Vadillo has a release clause in his contract of £8m which Spurs would have to match to have any hope of signing the prospect.
Still just 18 years old, Vadillo debuted for Betis in 2011. He has since made only 18 appearances, primarily due to a horrific cruciate ligament tear sustained during a collision with Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos which resulted in significant time out.
