Why Spurs’ new stadium won’t be full capacity for the Champions League match
Tottenham played their first game at their new stadium last Wednesday against Crystal Palace in what was a historic occasion for the club.
Everything went as planned as the Spurs fans created a brilliant atmosphere, and saw their side overcome the South Londoner’s 2-0 courtesy of second-half goals from Son Heung-Min and Christian Eriksen.
However, the 62,062 capacity stadium wasn’t full for the first competitive fixture at the arena after the club decided not to sell tickets for the first two rows of both the south and the north stands amidst concerns over sight lines (Source: Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust)
